HMS Aurora was a Arethusa Class Cruiser built by Portsmouth Dockyard in 1935. 
The badge takes the name of the Roman Goddess of Dawn and bares a Rising Sun upon Red parted by Waves of white upon blue.

During the Second World War  HMS Aurora earnt the Italian nickname " I'argento Fantasma" The Silver Phantom.

HMS Aurora was sold to China in 1948.
