Ruby was one of Portsmouth's longest serving landlady's she ran a tight ship with a rod of iron and collected over 600 cap tallies and ship badges given to her from her patrons to adorn her Pub 'The Royal Standard' Portsmouth. Ruby was always respected and there was always a place at her christmas dinner table for a sailor.

The Royal Standard affectionatly known as 'Rubys' by regulars, locals and sailor's worldwide has at present  approximately 350 replica badges on display along with cap tallies and regimental/naval wall shields. 

Rubys underwent a full refurbishment in June 2007. All the badges pictured in this website are on display in Rubys.
